Costs & Details About the Trip
We’ll be staying at the Slottsskogen Hostel, and trust me—it’s a fantastic spot! It’s super clean and comfortable, a great location and many students say it’s like staying in an Ikea showroom (how cool is that? 😄).
The location couldn’t be better! We’re just 8 minutes by tram to downtown (or a 1.8-mile walk if you're feeling adventurous).
Room setup: Most rooms are 2 people per room, though in some cases, there’ll be 3 per room in a room for 4.
Don’t miss out on their amazing KRAV-certified breakfast buffet—a true feast that’s been praised in guidebooks and is an experience in itself!
With a strong focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients, their breakfast is not only fresh and delicious but also kinder to the environment. And when the occasion calls for it, they go the extra mile by adding special treats like pancakes, smoothies, ginger shots, and seasonal fruits.
✅ Yogurt & milk
✅ Cereals & muesli
✅ Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, orange & apple juice
✅ Freshly baked bread, buns, toast, crispbread & crusts
✅ Cheese, ham, liver pâté, turkey breast, sausage & butter
✅ Eggs (of course!)
✅ Classic Swedish herring 🐟
✅ Fresh veggies & fruits: tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, orange slices
✅ Sunflower seeds, raisins, banana chips
✅ Marmalades, jams & Nutella 🍫
✅ Plenty of vegetarian & vegan options
✅ And so much more!
If you’re gluten- or lactose-intolerant, no worries—they’ve got you covered! Just let them know, and they’ll happily arrange a special meal for you.
They serve a delicious full breakfast every morning—perfect to start your day!
Bonus: They have a Swedish sauna for ultimate relaxation after a busy day. (So pack your bathing suit!) The sauna can host up to 8 persons, and you will find showers, benches and two beach chairs in the resting area.
Plus they have a pool table.
The hostel is right next to Slottsskogen Park, a massive 300-acre park that’s perfect for walking or jogging. It’s Gothenburg’s main park, and it even has its own zoo with elks, Gotland ponies, sheep, and other Nordic animals. There are also plenty of beautiful walking/running paths, a peaceful pond, and a café to enjoy the scenery.

We’ll be in an awesome location with everything you need right at our fingertips—ready for an unforgettable experience!
